AI documentation for veterinary clinics

In a vet consultation the history comes from the owner and the patient cannot speak. Docdemic keeps the two apart and writes a SOAP note with signalment, plus a summary the owner can take home.

Where the documentation time goes

  • History through the owner

Everything you know about the patient comes from the owner, and separating what they report from what you find takes care.

  • Signalment every time

Species, breed, age, sex and neuter status, and weight, need to be in every record.

  • Owners need it in writing

Owners forget dosing instructions and follow-up advice, so you end up writing it out again or answering calls.

What Docdemic does for you

  • Vet SOAP with signalment

Docdemic transcribes the consultation and writes a SOAP note that opens with signalment and keeps owner-reported history apart from your findings.

  • Owner summary

Generate a plain-language summary for the owner from the same consultation, with what was found, what to give and when to come back.

  • Record live or upload

Record in the consult room or upload an audio file afterwards.

  • Consultations in 30+ languages

Transcription and notes work in more than 30 languages.

Frequently asked questions

Does it understand signalment?

Yes. The vet SOAP template opens with species, breed, age, sex and neuter status, and weight, taken from the consultation. Anything not mentioned you fill in when you review.

Does it know the difference between the owner and the patient?

Yes. The note treats the owner as the source of the history and the animal as the patient, so owner-reported information is kept apart from your examination findings.

Can it write instructions for the owner?

Yes. An owner summary is generated from the same consultation in plain language. You review it before it goes to the owner.

Does it work for all species?

It writes from what is said in the consultation, so it is not limited to particular species. You can build templates for exotic or farm animal visits if your clinic sees them.

How do notes get into our practice system?

Copy and paste works with any system. A browser extension and a Windows desktop app that insert the note into the field you are typing in are rolling out.
