AI documentation for dental clinics

With gloves on and a mirror in your hand, typing is not an option. Docdemic records what you say during the exam and writes a dental note with the tooth numbers in the notation you use.

Where the documentation time goes

  • Gloved hands

You cannot type during the exam, so findings are called out to an assistant or remembered until the patient leaves.

  • Tooth-by-tooth detail

Every finding has to be tied to the right tooth and surface, and a mistake in notation causes problems later.

  • Explaining the plan twice

You explain the treatment plan to the patient, then write it again in the record.

What Docdemic does for you

  • Dental exam note from dictation

Say findings as you examine. Docdemic writes a structured exam note with each finding tied to its tooth.

  • FDI or Universal notation

Notes use the tooth numbering your clinic uses, FDI (two-digit) or Universal.

  • Treatment plan in the note

The plan you discuss with the patient is written into the note, ready for you to check.

  • Patient summary

Generate a plain-language summary of findings and planned treatment for the patient from the same visit.

  • Between-visit check-ins

Invite a patient to answer questions you choose before their next appointment. Answers are summarised for you at the next note.

Frequently asked questions

Does it support FDI and Universal tooth numbering?

Yes. The dental exam template uses FDI or Universal notation, whichever your clinic works with.

Does it fill in a dental chart?

No. It writes the exam note in text with tooth notation. Your charting stays in your practice system, and you can copy the note across.

What if I say the wrong tooth number?

The note reflects what was said. That is why you review every draft before saving and correct anything that is off.

Can I record the exam if I usually dictate to an assistant?

Yes. Call out findings the way you normally would. The recording captures them, and you review the note before it is saved.
