How it works with DIPS
- 01
Keep Docdemic beside the journal
The desktop app is an always-on-top window with your Docdemic workspace, next to the Windows record system.
- 02
Record and review the note
Record the visit or upload audio, pick your template and review the draft in Docdemic.
- 03
Press Insert
Docdemic remembers which window you were working in, brings it to the front and pastes the note at the cursor. Ctrl+Shift+D pastes the last note into whatever is in front.

Questions
Is this an official DIPS integration?
No. Docdemic is not affiliated with DIPS. The Docdemic desktop app inserts text where your cursor is, the way typing or pasting would, so it needs no API access or agreement with the vendor.
Does Docdemic read anything from DIPS?
No. Text only flows one way: from Docdemic into the field you choose. Nothing is read from the record system.
What if inserting does not work in a particular field?
The note is always copied to the clipboard as well, so Ctrl+V pastes it. Tell us which field it was and we will look at it.
Has this been tested with DIPS?
Not yet by hand in DIPS itself. The Docdemic desktop app works with any Windows program that accepts paste; a per-system check is in progress and this page will say when it is done.
DIPS is a trademark of its owner. Docdemic is not affiliated with or endorsed by its vendor; the name is used only to say which system the note can be inserted into.
